Bolashak Scholarship


  • Eligibility

-      Designed for high-performing students from Kazakhstan to pursue higher education at top universities around the world.

-      KAIST is among the select universities worldwide recognized for this prestigious program.

China-KAIST Scholarships


  • Eligibility

-       Candidates will be citizens and permanent residents of the People’s Republic of China at the time of application.

-       Candidates must not be currently working outside of China.

-       Successful candidates must return to China upon completion of their studies and/or research.

-       Candidates must hold an unconditional offer letter from KAIST. They must therefore fulfill the relevant academic entry requirements set by KAIST.

  • Subsidies: Living allowance, round-trip airfare, visa application fees
  • Application Period: Apply to KAIST in December and for the CSC Scholarship in March.
  • Procedures: Indicate CSC as your financial resource in the KAIST application. Apply for the CSC scholarship if admitted to KAIST.

Hyundai Motor Chung Mong-Koo Global Scholarship


  • Eligibility: Citizens of 8 ASEAN countries applying for Master's, Integrated Master's/Doctoral, or Doctoral programs in Science & Engineering, Economics, or Business
  • Subsidies: Tuition fee, monthly learning expense, settlement expense, graduation incentive
  • Procedures: If eligible, you will receive an email to apply for this scholarship right after your admission to KAIST.

Indonesian Endowment Fund for Education (LPDP) Scholarships


  • Eligibility

-      Open to outstanding Indonesian students and professionals seeking higher education at leading universities worldwide.

-      Supports fields of study aligned with Indonesia’s national development priorities.

-      KAIST is one of the participating universities, recognized as a top global institution.

"la Caixa" Foundation Scholarship


  • Eligibility

-      Open to exceptional students from Spain and Portugal for pursuing postgraduate studies at top universities worldwide.

-      South Korea is one of the eligible countries for this scholarship program.

POSCO Asia Fellowship (PAF) Program (STEM Fields Only)


  • Eligibility: Asian citizens (excluding Koreans) applying for Master's, Integrated Master's/Doctoral, or Doctoral programs in STEM fields
  • Subsidies: Tuition fee, monthly living expense, online Korean class, Korean culture experience
  • Procedures: Apply for the POSCO scholarship in May. Indicate POSCO as your financial resource in the KAIST application.

Taiwan-KAIST Scholarship


  • Eligibility: Citizens of the R.O.C., including those studying outside Taiwan. Only new Ph.D. applicants to KAIST are eligible.

-     Normally, residents in Taiwan, Penghu, Kinmen, or Matsu

  • Subsidies: Tuition fee, annual stipend
  • Procedures: Apply in November following the Taiwan Mission in Korea's guidelines. Indicate the Taiwan Mission in Korea as your financial resource in the KAIST application.

Vingroup scholarships


  • Eligibility

-      Open to talented Vietnamese students to pursue postgraduate studies at top universities globally.

-      KAIST is one of the prestigious universities included in this program.
