A. Submission of Verified Academic Records
To finalize your admission, verifying the authenticity of the information provided in your application is essential. For this reason, all degrees and transcripts mentioned in your application must be submitted with internationally and legally recognized verification. Read the following options and take one that best suits your situation.
① Verification from the Korean embassy : If your documents are issued in a country where the Hague Convention is not applicable, you can obtain verification from the Korean embassy in the issuing country.
② *The Apostille Certificate(under the Hague Convention) : Check the list to determine if you are eligible to apply for apostille certification.

③ Verification from the Embassy or Consulate in South Korea : In cases where the Hague Convention is not applicable and your documents are issued in a country with an embassy or consulate in South Korea, you can obtain verification from the relevant embassy in South Korea.
④ Verification Report through China Higher Education Student Information (CHSI) : If you graduated from a university in China, you must submit either option ① or the following three documents; 1) Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate, 2) Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate, and 3) Verification Report of China Higher Education Student's Academic Transcript. ※ Apostille or consular verification is not required for documents issued by Korean institutions. However, graduation certificates and transcripts must be verifiable online. Academic records (i.e., final transcript, degree certificate or diploma, or applicable translations) must be OFFICIAL documents. Unofficial documents, even with valid verification, will not be accepted.
※ The degree must be officially conferred before the start of semester. If the conferral date is beyond the deadline, your admission will be revoked.
※ All documents submitted become university property and will NOT be returned. Therefore, please avoid submitting the original diploma if it is not reissuable.
※ Obtaining an apostille or embassy legalization on a copied diploma or graduation certificate is acceptable.

Degrees and transcripts must be submitted between the designated dates (to be separately notified to successful candidates). * For those who applied for COA with a provisional degree or an expected graduation certificate, official degree(s) and transcript(s) must be submitted no later than the designated date (to be separately notified to successful candidates). * Email submission is not acceptable.

Those who wish to study at KAIST must settle the invoice within this designated timeframe.
* Please be informed that tuition for the KAIST Scholarships, including the KAIST Global Presidential Scholarships, will be disbursed directly. Hence, students receiving a FULL tuition grants from KAIST are exempt from submitting payment.
However, students awarded a PARTIAL KAIST Scholarship, an external scholarship, or those self-funding their studies must remit the invoice payment within the stipulated due dates. Failure to comply will result in the automatic revocation of the admission offer. To fulfill this requirement, students must make the payments through a virtual account assigned to them. Please note that the assigned account does not accept overseas transfers. The Academic Registrar's Team (registrar@kaist.ac.kr) will provide you with detailed information regarding this matter.
