All admitted students, except those with F-category visas, must hold the student visa (D-2) to study at KAIST before the enrollment date. Student visa application will require submitting a valid passport, COA and the Business Registration Certificate from KAIST, and other required materials from the Korean embassy.
A. Outside Korea
When applying for a student visa outside Korea, you must provide
Application form, photograph taken within six months, and current passport
COA, Certificate of Business Registration, receipt of the tuition fee payment issued by
KAIST
You may also need to provide
Degrees and transcripts
Bank statement to fund your education at KAIST (KRW 16,000,000 - 20,000,000)
Certificate of family registration or an equivalent public document
Tuberculosis test result

B. Inside Korea - those admitted to higher degrees from Korean universities
When you apply for your student visa inside Korea, you must provide
Application form, photograph taken within six months, and current passport, Alien
Registration Card
COA, Certificate of Business Registration receipt of the tuition fee payment issued by
KAIST
Graduation Certificate, Certificate of Current Residence, bank statement
